I like tea. I like spiced tea. The Viante Spiced Orange Herbal Tea serves the purpose. It has a wonderful flavor, a combination of Rosehip, Cinnamon, Ginger, Turmeric, Hibiscus and Orang Peel producing a tangy caffeine free drink. Served hot or cold, it tastes great! It is pouch less meaning you get to experience the full flavor of this product. It comes in a smartly designed resealable bag that yields approximately 33 tea bags based on 3 grams per serving. This is a premium priced product and in my opinion a good value. I like it. Recommend.
This is a pleasant light tasting tea. I like to make my tea into concentrate so I can easily make a cup of iced or hot in just a few moments. It was easy to use, but I think I might have had the temperature of the water too high and wonder if that is why I am not getting any peach flavor at all. Most of what I am tasting is green tea. It looks lovely and has a nice smell in the bag. It seems very fresh and of a good quality. I appreciate that they use an organic peach flavor. Although the product page makes it look like there may be some dried peaches in the tea, as far as I can tell there is not. It comes in a good sized bag so will make quite a bit. I like that they use calendula flowers, they add a pop of color and an extra little dose of healthfulness. I'm enjoying drinking it, I gave it four stars because I really don't taste any peach in it but it's still a nice tea.
Enjoyed every cup of this tea. It tastes great and is the perfect beverage to have after dinner.
I love tea, I don't normally drink herbal teas because I find them either flavorless and needing too much honey or too strong and needing too much honey but this had the perfect amount of mint flavor and was relaxing and delicious. I found the tea to be great quality, and the same taste wise as some other expensive brands. It didn't taste stale at all -- it tasted very fresh, and it wasn't overly sweet. I found it definitely worth the money. Would recommend
That is the strongest, best tasting, freshest, mint tea I’ve ever had.
Delicious black tea that hits the mark completely. The cardamom flavor comes through great alongside the traditional bergamot and floral notes, with no weird synthetic taste or lingering bitterness. It comes in a nice resealable pouch to keep it fresh. Not much else to say... it is a solid, high-quality loose leaf tea that tastes exactly like it should.
Aroma único
This is an interesting tea. The addition of cardamom and cornflower to Earl Grey makes for quite a lovely cuppa.1.5 stars off though, for it being incredibly expensive! At this writing it is $29.99 for a 3.5 ounce bag. It's not even in a pretty tin.It claims "up to" 33 cups but c'mon. Maybe for terribly weak cups for infants. There is also some chaff that falls threw my tea ball and into my cup.
I've been trying a wide variety of teas over the last couple years, and I wouldn't rate this one very high. It's tough to say way, it's not that it's weak or too strong or something like that. There's no strong tannin element making it bitter or have a weird feeling in the mouth like some teas have, either, especially black teas. But there's something that's just lacking and doesn't taste good to me to the point that I'm not going to finish the bag. It's fairly easy to make, at least. It IS loose leaf, not in tea bags, but so long as you have something to put them in for steeping, they work well. The tea looks nice, both before it's made and once it's been steeped, but the flavor really lets it down. I would rate it at two stars based on the flavor but I know taste is personal, so other people may like it more than I do, but I can't rate a tea I find undrinkable higher than three stars and I can't say that it's good value for the cost.
This is okay. The taste is fine but I wouldn't necessarily call it "bold". Particularly when it comes to the taste of the tea itself. I can taste the other notes on here before the tea comes through. I like my tea to taste like tea and am fine with some additions, I just want the tea taste to really pop. It doesn't here. This is a VERY loose leaf tea. The grind is very fine. It is impossible not to get some grit from this. I've used all types of infusers and stuff still gets in. I'm not sure why it is left so fine.Overall, I'm meh here. Better teas out there, especially at this price point.
I have been reaching for this instead of coffee on some mornings, which is not something I say about most teas.THE STRENGTH IS THEREThis is a proper breakfast black tea, not a weak one. It brews up bold with enough caffeine kick to actually replace a morning coffee rather than just being a warm drink. If you have been disappointed by black teas that taste like tinted water, this is not that.THE VANILLAThe vanilla arrives at the finish rather than up front, and that is the right way around. It smooths out the malty edge of the black tea instead of burying it, and it is not sickly sweet the way flavored teas usually go. I drink it without sugar and it does not need any. If you want a dessert tea this may read as too restrained; for a morning cup the balance is right.SECOND STEEPThe leaves hold up for a second steep, which I appreciated and did not expect. The second cup is lighter and the vanilla is fainter, but it is a real cup of tea and not just colored water. That improves the value meaningfully since you are getting more out of each scoop.LOOSE LEAF NOTESThe leaf quality looks good, not the dust you find in cheap bags. Being loose leaf means you need an infuser or a basket, so factor that in if you are used to grabbing a tea bag on the way out the door. It is a couple of extra seconds, but it is why it tastes better.WHY FOUR STARSNo real complaints about the tea itself. It sits just under a five because the flavor, while very good, is a familiar vanilla black rather than something distinctive, and loose leaf is slightly less convenient on a rushed morning.BOTTOM LINEBold, smooth, lightly vanilla, and strong enough to stand in for coffee. Good daily morning tea, and the second steep is a nice bonus.
Delicious tea
Warm, Flavorful Tea That's Perfect Any Time of Day. I really enjoyed this herbal tea. The combination of orange, cinnamon, and ginger creates a warm, comforting flavor, while the hibiscus adds a light fruity note that keeps it from tasting too heavy. Everything blends together nicely without one ingredient overpowering the others.
Since it's caffeine-free, I like having a cup in the evening when I want something relaxing. The loose leaf tea brews well, and the aroma while it's steeping is just as enjoyable as the flavor.
The resealable pouch keeps the tea fresh, and a little goes a long way. This is a flavorful herbal blend that's great for anyone who enjoys a smooth, naturally spiced tea without caffeine.
My Husband's New Favorite Evening Tea. My husband has really been enjoying this herbal tea. One of the main reasons he wanted to try it was because it's caffeine free, and it has become a great option for relaxing in the evening without worrying about it affecting his sleep. The blend of orange, cinnamon, ginger, and other herbs creates a warm, comforting flavor that's perfect on cooler days. He says it's flavorful without being too strong and has a wonderful aroma while brewing. The loose-leaf tea looks fresh, and the resealable pouch helps keep it that way. Overall, this is a high-quality herbal tea that he would happily order again.
Viante Tea is Always a Hit. This tea is warm on the throat and is so pleasant!
Premium Tea That Tastes Great!. Strong but pleasant fruity flavor with warm spices the the background.. Up for review is a bag of Viante brand "spiced orange" loose leaf tea, 3.5 oz in a resealable pouch.
I drink a lot of black tea, occasional green tea, too much coffee entirely, and late in the day I like herbal tea that doesn't have caffeine in it. And I prefer naturally caffeine free teas--which are, of course, not "tea" at all in most cases but other flavorful blends of dried herbs, fruit and spices. This tea is billed as a "spiced orange," and also contains cinnamon, ginger, hibiscus and rose hip. The star of the show is intended to be the orange, presumably, which comes in the form of orange peel and "natural orange flavor," which is not mentioned in the product listing ingredients but is mentioned on the bag. Turmeric is also present, but not "clove" which is mentioned in the product photos but doesn't appear in the ingredient list.
This is a loose "leaf" tea, meaning you aren't going to find bags in there. You'll need to use an infuser or, like I did in my video, strain the tea before consuming. The material will float at the top of your cup, otherwise, and you'll get it in your mouth, which isn't pleasant.
I was impressed with the color of this tea, despite not having artificial colors, it has a brilliant red hue. Turmeric is a powerful coloring agent in and of itself, and the rose hips might be adding to the color, too. I was also impressed with the smell of this tea in the bag--very pungent and appealing fragrance of warm spices. It seems to be much fresher than the smell of grocery store style bagged herbal teas. Tasting this, I was really impressed at how much flavor comes across with only 3g of tea steeped in a small volume of water. The flavors are very big without being bitter at all. It seems like a fresher overall product than I am used to, which may well have to do with the fact that it's sealed well by the pouch, but also has to do with the "loose leaf" format. As you can see in my video, the tea hasn't been heavily pulverized for use in a bag and the pieces are fairly large which creates less surface area for oxidation. The flavor itself was a pleasant surprise. I always expect cinnamon and ginger to be overpowering. A little goes a long way, but they are more supporting players here and the majority of the flavor, for me, was fruit. Oddly enough, orange didn't jump out as much as something along the lines of strawberry or red raspberry. The cinnamon adds some nice warmth like you might taste in a pie, though this tea is great unsweetened. It's also really good cold if hot tea doesn't sound appealing in the summer heat.
Overall--this is a great herbal tea and well worth the effort to prepare with an infuser. The biggest strike against is the price. For a lot of people--including me--this is more than I'd usually be willing to spend on herbal tea, but the quality is so much better than usual, and a little goes a long way, so you may find the value to be worth it.
Cardamom and Earl Grey are the Perfect Pair. I had tea fest yesterday - trying all of the Viante varieties; each and every one is wonderful.
I adore cardamom with tea and I use it all the time; the best is an Earl Grey combination. Absolutely divine!
My Husband Really Enjoys This Tea. My husband is a big fan of Earl Grey tea, so I picked this up for him to try. He was immediately impressed by the aroma when he opened the pouch. The combination of bergamot and cardamom creates a rich, flavorful cup that stands out from traditional Earl Grey blends. He described it as smooth, well balanced, and very enjoyable without being overpowering. The loose-leaf tea brews nicely, and the resealable pouch helps keep it fresh between uses. It has quickly become one of his favorite teas to enjoy in the morning or while relaxing in the evening. Overall, this is a high-quality blend that he would gladly order again.
Heaven in a cup!. I am a daily tea drinker with a special love for a good Earl Grey. I am always on the lookout for a high quality loose leaf black tea blends. This cardamom earl grey does not disappoint. From the moment I tore open the bag, even before opening the zipper, the aroma was strong and pleasant. The tea brews to a medium boldness in about 3 minutes. I let mine steep a bit longer because I like a strong flavor. This blend is every bit as good as a coffee house tea. I use a aluminum mesh tea ball to steep. There are some small partials that escape the mesh, but not too bad for a loose leaf. The package says the country of origin is China, packed and bagged in the U.S. I am looking forward to trying more flavors!
Smooth & Fragrant Earl Grey with a Warm Twist. I was pleasantly surprised by this tea! I am an Earl Grey tea drinker, but this one is wayyy better!! The bergamot gives it that classic Earl Grey citrus flavor, while the cardamom adds a warm, slightly spicy note that makes it feel extra cozy. The loose leaf tea brews into a smooth, full-bodied cup with no bitterness, and the aroma is amazing. The resealable pouch keeps everything fresh, but i put mine into a sealed glass jar. I will say tho, a little goes a long way, you don't need a huge scoop. If you enjoy Earl Grey and want something a little more unique and flavorful, this is definitely worth trying.
A Perfect Blend of Citrus and Warm Spice!. I am absolutely in love with this Earl Grey blend! The classic, bright citrus notes of organic bergamot are perfectly balanced by the warm, slightly sweet, and aromatic addition of real cardamom. It adds a sophisticated layer of depth that makes your morning or afternoon tea feel like a special ritual.
The loose leaves are beautiful, high quality, and accented with lovely blue cornflowers that make brewing it as visually pleasing as it is delicious. It has a smooth finish with zero bitterness. If you're a fan of traditional Earl Grey but want to try something with a wonderfully cozy, spiced upgrade, I highly recommend giving this a try!
A Smooth and Flavorful Twist on Earl Grey Tea. I really enjoyed this Earl Grey tea because it has a unique flavor that feels a little more special than a traditional blend. The combination of black tea, bergamot, and cardamom creates a smooth taste with a nice balance of citrusy and warm spice notes.
The loose leaf quality is impressive, and the resealable pouch helps keep the tea fresh. It brews a beautiful cup with a rich aroma and a satisfying flavor that I enjoy in the morning or during a relaxing afternoon break.
This tea has a refined taste without being too strong or overwhelming. It's a great choice for anyone who enjoys classic Earl Grey but wants to try something with an extra layer of flavor.
Fine quality tea. I avoided all tea-bags and have been drinking loose tea regularly for years.
This tea has a robust black tea base that stands up to a splash of milk. Subtle vanilla sweetness with no need for added sugar.
Brew 3 grams at 200°F for 4 to 5 minutes in a 10 to 12 oz mug.
Just three real ingredients: black tea, eleuthero root, organic vanilla flavor.
No plastic tea bags, no artificial sweeteners, no fillers. Nice tea.
Delicious Organic Tea with a Smooth Vanilla Flavor. The Viante Breakfast Boost Loose Leaf Tea has a wonderful aroma and a rich, flavorful taste. The smooth vanilla notes make it especially enjoyable, and I appreciate that it's made with organic ingredients and contains no artificial flavoring.
One thing I overlooked before ordering was that this is loose leaf tea rather than tea bags, so be sure to read the product description carefully. If you don't already have a tea infuser or steeper, you'll want one to brew it properly. It is easy to use and has a very fine appearance rather than a bulky one.
My only disappointment was the amount of tea in the package. The bag itself is fairly large, but it contains only a few scoops of loose tea. Since I drink black tea regularly, I would have preferred a larger quantity. For this reason, I don't think it's good value for the price.
Overall, the quality and flavor are excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys organic loose leaf tea with a soothing vanilla taste.
Good tea flavor. This has a pretty good, strong flavor with a hint of vanilla. Tastes great as is or with some sweetness. Comes in a handy resealable bag and easy to brew. I do prefer tea bags so I can bring them while traveling or on the go, but that's just my personal preference.
